2026 competition Divisions
There are three different divisions again this year:
Junior Mixed - for U7 - U9 and U10 - U12 with 8 players per side to give more playing time. Games will be 2 x 20-minute halves. Games start at 4.30pm. Once all registrations have been finalised all registered juniors will be allocated teams by the club.
Social Mixed - suitable for aged 13+ and is aimed at those who are not serious about keeping score or that wish to play socially with their friends and children. 8 players per side for 2 x 25-minute halves. Registered outdoor players 15+ are not eligible for social mixed teams (unless otherwise approved by the club). Games 5.30pm, 6.30pm or 7.30pm (times change weekly).
Senior Mixed - division is suitable for players aged 15+ (registered outdoor players). All teams must be mixed, with a minimum of two females on the pitch at any time. 6 players per team for 2 x 25-minute halves. Games 5.30pm, 6.30pm or 7.30pm (times change weekly).
If you are keen to be involved in any of these divisions, then please click the ‘REGISTER NOW’ link below.
SIgn on NIGHT
Thursday 8 October is a ‘sign on’ night for any players who don’t have a team. If you don’t have a team, register as an individual and you will be allocated to a team in the appropriate competition division. All players are welcome to come down to Whitsunday Sportspark (Jubilee Pocket) on sign-on night for an informal kick-around, to find a team or to have a chat with the committee about the competition.
COMPETITION START
Round 1 of the competition will commence on Thursday 15 October. This year’s competition will be 8 rounds and some weeks we may have double rounds on both Tuesday and Thursday nights, to ensure we can fit in the required number of rounds before silly season starts!
COMPETITION REGISTRATION
REGISTRATION FEES:
$90 per person
(Note: this year, there is no difference between the registered outdoor player fee and new player registration fee - this is due to competition fees imposed by Football Queensland)
HOW TO REGISTER:
Registrations are open now and close before the first game of the competition on 14/10/26 – registrations after this date will not be accepted. Registration this year is in two stages:
Registration is via Squadi - if you don’t have a profile, create one and then follow the prompts to register for a competition. Search 4802 or Whitsunday United FC for available competition products - scroll down to the bottom of the product options and select Play On Football - Seam Spatial Summer Sixes
Then you will need to register via Play Football - if you don’t have a profile, create on and then follow the prompts to register for one. Find the club/ competition by searching 4802 or Whitsunday United FC. Scroll down the available products until you find 2026 Play On Football. Select products and scroll through and acknowledge all the terms and conditions. Note, there is no fee for this part of the registration.
ENTERING A TEAM - SENIOR/ SOCIAL DIVISIONS
You can either enter a full team (max 10 players per team) or if you don’t have a team, come down to sign on night (Thursday 8 October) and you will be allocated to a suitable team in a suitable division. This applies to social mixed and senior mixed only.
Junior mixed will be allocated to teams by the club once all registrations are in - this ensures equity in the teams.
If you have a team organised, email the team name/ captain’s name and list of player names to football@whitsundayunitedfc.com.
